Summertime solar eclipse fun as reported by the Graystone church mouse, Deke.

Hey, everyone,

What have y'all been doing this summer?  I've been having soooo much fun!!

We didn't have our own VBS this year, so several of our folks - youth and adults - joined with our friends at Lake Hills for their VBS.  We had a blast!!  Then, our whole congregation was invited to the end-of-the-school-year service and picnic at Lake Hills.  Our choir participated in the service along with the VBS kids and Pastor Gloria.  In return, the Lake Hills congregation will worship with us in September; and we'll treat them to lemonade and cookies on the patio.

Also during June, Monét Harriman attended a special training program at John Knox Center.  The Covenant Partners is a leadership focused experience where participants have the opportunity to participate in leadership activities with the younger campers.  I'm sure Monét learned lots of cool things that she'll soon be sharing with us here at home.

Speaking of John Knox Center…  The solar eclipse event August 21 is sure to be a great outing.  Several Graystone folks are already signed up and our Clerk says I get to go along, too!  I can't wait!!

I hope everyone is having as great a summer as Graystone!

Deke
